Osman Parvez, Co-Founder and Associate Broker     My educational background is an unusual pairing; following my interest in environmental science, I earned a bachelors in biology. Much of my work was focused on animal behavior, including substantial amounts of time in the field. Then, seeking diversity, I shifted gears and earned an MBA in finance. My graduate work was focused on financial analysis and modeling, the closest thing to science in the business world. I started my professional career as a financial analyst with an investment bank. My last position in the finance industry was as the Associate Director of Capital Markets for a private investment company. I've co-founded several start up companies, served on the board for a non-profit organization, and worked with an environmental consulting company. I started working in real estate with a small boutique firm on Nantucket, providing research to the firm's clients on market conditions. A desire for more sustainability, a better start-up environment, and improved quality of life led me to Boulder in 2005. I first worked with Re/Max and a few years later, I helped found Silver Fern Homes in 2007. At Silver Fern, my goal is to help my clients make smarter real estate decisions, both for personal residences and investment properties. Buying or selling is often the largest financial decision that most people make, which is why it's important to get the best information and advice. I think of my role as an adviser to my clients and I take this responsibility very seriously.
